Fiber Arts To Free Your Heart, Mind And Soul

A grandmother and caregiver. I have 3 amazing grandsons who are the light of my life!
Phoenix, Aiden and Colin (he goes by Coco) are the most amazing little humans I know.
Phoenix is high functioning autistic. Aiden is severe, non-verbal. Colin... well he's 5 and many times a bigger handful than his brothers!
My days (and nights) are filled with the joy and chaos of special needs and therapy sessions.
I wouldn't have it any other way!
I've been an artist all my life. I learned to crochet over 45 years ago. I gave it up for a long time because I was sick of granny squares and ponchos.
The internet didn't exist way back then, so I was limited to what was the norm around me.
With the internet... I discovered free-form crochet, hyperbolic crochet, new ways of weaving and then... felting.
I could barely contain the creative juices flowing through my brain (ew),
I learned over the last few years that it was OK to allow myself time to create... and not ONLY take care of my grandsons...
It's made me a better person, better grandma and everyone is happier because of it.
It's OK to find a balance, and we have.
I'd love to hear your story. May take me a bit to reply. 😉
